Mika's 3-month Doc Appt.

Mika had her 3-month checkup last Friday and was given a good bill of health. She weighed almost 6kg, and all of her measurements were right in the middle of all the ranges. She also endured her first round of immunizations. Before leaving the hospital after her checkup, we stopped by the maternity ward to visit the nurses/midwives. They are so great! They were very patient with me when I was in the hospital...taking great care of us, doing their best to understand my Japanese, not saying anything when I unknowingly "broke rule/requests" that I wasn't aware of (who knew I was supposed to bring my own chopsticks and not put my medicine wrappings on the food tray??--I discovered my mistakes as I read the info sheet on the 2nd day:), and they would explain the meals to me or come by for a chat. Every time we stopped by to visit them the first month I told them I wanted to check back into the hospital:) They were happy to see Mika, though she was asleep, so they couldn't see her eyes. By the way, Mika is now sleeping 11 hours/night, which is lovely! I'll post a picture of her first thing in the morning--happy, well rested and ready to go to church.
