Double Digits

Mika turned 10 months old today! Crazy! Hmmm....her latest milestones since last we wrote??....she can: sit, pull herself up to standing, crawl (on all fours now as opposed to the on-land "butterfly" she used to do to get around:), say "da-da" to call daddy, say "book" (her first word), turn pages for me when I read to her, give kisses (latest development as of yesterday) to her toy friends and sometimes daddy. We'll post a bunch of shots of Mika to catch up. PHOTOS (mostly from June...will catch up on the rest in the next post): Mika spending time in her playpen...One of my students came to church to meet Mika for the first time (I purposely included the pic though it is slightly blurry...shows the true Mika, always in action!)...One of the youth boys giving Mika some "pointers" during the fellowship time after the service...Mika at the table with daddy to eat some of her rice cracker snacks during tea time (also after the service)....Uncle Bobby came to stay with us & Mika was happy to have a playmate (backshot of Mika is for the JMU Dukes outfit...go Dukes!)...Sitting on the table with what is supposed to be a strawberry hat (she's not wearing the outfit that goes with it so it looks more tomato-ish here) and giving Washiela a little comic relief as she runs around cooking the meal for the monthly "movie night" outreach....Sitting on daddy's lap, visiting him at work...With mommy after bathtime....Sitting on daddy's lap chewing on a plastic "car" while he gets to eat yummy yakitori (skewered grilled chicken) Mika's so into the food, wonder where she gets that from??....Mika chillin on the couch, waiting for something exciting to happen:)
