Janurary International Cafe

On January 19th, we had our first International Cafe of 2008. We invited Rocky and his friend Shuhei. (I'm actually not sure what Rocky's real name is...) They minister through their gifts in music on the next island down from us, about a 30min train ride away. In 2006, Rocky and his wife Marla performed for us at International Cafe. (They have a great Bilingual worship CD. Rocky & Shuhei's CD is instrumental.) We changed things up this time & instead of us cooking, we had a woman who owns a cafe down the street cater for us. LaVonne often goes to her cafe to hang out with her. We had about 40 people attend. Rocky & Shuhei played & shared their testimonies. It was a blessing to have them. Hana enjoyed having Taka read her some stories while her Daddy was performing.
